Half-Term Group Program
Helping tweens build confidence in recognizing & managing anxiety

Worry Warriors is a 5-session group program designed to help 9-12 year old children understand and manage anxiety using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework. The program focuses on building peer support, developing coping strategies, and empowering participants to challenge anxious thoughts and behaviors. They will learn physical tools, practice relaxation techniques and be introduced to the skill of breath awareness

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand anxiety and stress responses (fight, flight, freeze)
  • Explore the mind–body connection
  • Challenge unhelpful thoughts
  • Use coping tools such as mindfulness, journaling, and relaxation
  • Practice grounding, breath awareness and other tools.

Facilitators:

Psychologist + Developmental Paediatrician

Duration:

5 day sessions; 1.5hours per day

9-12 years
