Rasika holds a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (2013) from Maharashtra, India and has extensive experience in treating pediatric and adult communication disorders.
She supports children with language delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, genetic syndrome, apraxia of speech, articulation issues, stuttering, cluttering, and speech challenges associated with cleft lip and/or palate.
Rasika’s therapy sessions are purposefully goal-driven, adaptively dynamic to meet the child’s evolving needs, and follow a naturalistic, play-based flow that feels meaningful and spontaneous.
She also provides expert care for adults with neurogenic conditions, including aphasia and dysarthria caused by stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease and specializes in voice therapy for individuals facing voice-related issues and voice care for professional voice users such as teachers, singers, and actors.
She is certified in Fundamentals of Music Therapy by the Chennai School of Music Therapy, and trained in Oral Placement Therapy Levels 1 & 2 by TalkTools.
In addition to her clinical work, Rasika has published research in peer-reviewed international journals (Karulkar & Gunjawate, 2021; Karulkar et al., 2020, 2022, 2023; Waknis et al., 2017).
Rasika firmly believes in collaborative efforts, working closely with family members, and with other multidisciplinary team members to address each individual's needs holistically and empower them to reach their full potential.
