Dana Berri is a CDA-licensed Psychologist supporting adolescents, adults, and families with 7 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include anxiety and mood disorders, trauma-related difficulties, self-esteem and identity concerns, relationship challenges, and adjustment to significant life transitions. She also supports families of people of determination, helping them navigate the emotional, relational, and systemic challenges that may arise within the family unit.
Dana has a particular interest in women's mental health across the lifespan, supporting women through hormonal and emotional changes, as well as major personal and life transitions.
She holds an MA in Clinical Psychology and a BA in Psychology from the American University of Beirut (AUB). Her professional experience spans psychiatric inpatient and outpatient units, clinics, refugee camps, and schools. This breadth of experience has shaped a relational and systemic perspective, with an emphasis on understanding each client within the wider context of their relationships, family, and life experiences.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and depth-oriented, tailored to each client's individual needs and circumstances. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), integrating these and other evidence-based approaches to support meaningful and sustainable change.
In her work, Dana places great importance on creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and compassion. She supports clients in developing practical strategies for emotional regulation, recognising and reframing unhelpful patterns of thinking, and developing a healthier relationship with psychological pain. Her approach aims to build greater self-awareness, psychological flexibility, and resilience, enabling clients to navigate challenges and life transitions with greater understanding and confidence.
