Cara is an American Speech Therapist who moved to Dubai from the United States in 2017. Her experience includes both adults and pediatrics in inpatient hospitals, private practices, schools, and rehabilitative settings. Cara has experience in working with a variety of disorders including aphasia, TBI, dementia, Parkinson's disease, dysphagia, receptive/expressive language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, articulation, dysarthria, Apraxia of Speech (AOS), and stuttering.
Cara is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) think LOUD targeting increased vocal quality and loudness in individuals with voice disorders, specifically Parkinson's Disease. She also has experience with dysphagia management, and cognitive training for progressive degenerative disorders. Cara is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She has a passion for working as part of a team to provide evidence-based services and diagnostic application to individuals of all walks of life.
